Hilton Revamps Loyalty Programme

The HHonours programme, which runs across Hilton Worldwide’s 10 hotel brands, will be positioned as an opportunity for consumers to obtain “unforgettable experiences” form the brand.

The loyalty programme’s rebrand involves a new global brand identity, supported by an international advertising campaign, created by Publicis New York. The campaign will run in the US, Turkey, China, Italy and the UK.

The campaign uses the strapline “Hilton HHonours, a world of experiences worth sharing” and features print, online and outdoor activity.

Jeff Diskin, senior vice president, global customer marketing, Hilton Worldwide, said: “Hilton HHonors wants to change the way our members view loyalty programs.

“Our goal is to shift the conversation from earning points to creating memories, from being just about functionality to the human, more emotional and experiential side of travel.”

Hilton HHonours claims to be the only guest loyalty programme that offers points and miles with a “no blackout dates” stipulation.

Hilton now offers members twice the rewards

Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of hotel brands, announced today its latest global promotion—Double Your HHONORS™. From July 7, 2010 through Sept. 30, 2010, members can earn Double Points or Double Airline Miles for each hotel stay.

To participate in the Double Your HHONORS promotion members can register at and choose to earn either Double Points or Double Miles prior to check-in. There is no limit to the number of points or miles awarded.

Hilton HHonors members can earn Double Points or Double Airline Miles for stays at any of the participating 3,600 hotels in 81 countries within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations.

Hilton HHonors Point Stretchers

Hilton HHonors has published its list of Point Stretcher hotels that are available for 40 percent fewer points than regular award nights through June 30, 2010.

You can search the list by Hilton brand and view the participating Point Stretcher hotels and valid dates. At many locations, only weekend stays are discounted but there are some rooms available for fewer points during the week.

For example, the Hilton Anchorage is a category 6 hotel and available for only 24,000 points (normally 40,000 points) in April and May. The Hilton Atlanta is a category 5 hotel and available for 21,000 points (normally 35,000 points) on weekends in May and June. As a category 4 hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Airport Westshore is 18,000 points (normally 30,000 points) on weekends in April, May and June.

The list of Point Breaks hotels only displays the names and dates of participating properties. To view the hotel category and how many points you need for an award night, you will need to log in to your account and use the award reservation booking tool. And even though a hotel is listed on the Point Breaks list, award nights may not be available on the dates you want.
